Something funny

I can't remember times i have "guffawed" out loud. I know there must be times I have I am a happy person who likes to joke around. But when given an assignment it becomes impossible to recall these times. I would say one of the last times I laughed really hard was with my friends a couple weeks ago. For one I had just seen the video "The Fox" by Ylevis. One of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. I showed this to my roommate and the girl who happened to be in the study at the time. We laughed so hard we had tears streaming down our faces. When he starts screaming "PA PA PA PA PAPAPA" i still laugh until i cry. It is just funny. this primed me and made me already in a great mood when I started walking towards my friends room in the dorm next to mine. I still had remnants of tears in the corner of my eyes trying to dry as I walked over. Lucky for me they were in a good mood too. Immediately they ask me "You know what would be funny?" I of course asked what. They than showed me a demonstration where one had a cup of water and the other walks up and asks "what are you drinking?" as soon as one had answered he slapped in out of his hand and flipped him off while walking away. This alone made me laugh till i cried. To me the reason this made me laugh wasn't that we would be picking on a random bystander but more how just random and unknown it would be. We are not mean people so if we did this we would turn right back around after the initial confrontation and apologize. But just the thought of unprovoked slapping something out of someones hand made me laugh on the floor. It was too much for my sides to handle I felt as though i was doing an intense ab workout. This is the most recent time I have openly laughed that hard and felt my entire sides clinch up with laughter.

  1. I cried laughing at "The Fox" too! Something about the ridiculousness of the video really gets me. I think everyone I've talked to who has seen it, no matter if they thought it was dumb or not, at least admitted that they laughed pretty hard when they first watched it!

  2. I might sound like a broken record, but "The Fox" is comedic gold, plain and simple. I am proud to be a citizen of a world where that video exists. I think what makes it so funny is how mind-blowingly relatable it is- NO ONE knows what that darn fox says! I love how like Justine, I haven't run into anyone whose foolish pride and desire to be some cool kid blinds them from seeing how great that video is. Thank you, Norway, for those guys. As far as the slapping something out of an unsuspecting someone's hand, I am just as guilty of thinking this is hilarious. I think it's just the unexpectedness of it (incongruity theory, eh?) that makes it so worthy of ROFL-ing. Last year, some of my friends and I were good friends with one of the desk assistants in our hall, Wyatt. We decided that it would be super hilarious if we started a video collection called "Messing With Wyatt" that would be comprised of footage of us subjecting poor unsuspecting Wyatt to various practical jokes. For the first segment, we got some cookies that had been baked a couple hours earlier and put them on a plate. One of us secretly filmed while the other offered Wyatt the plate so he could get a cookie. Right when he grabbed it and his little eyes were pools of happiness, one of our friends lunged out of nowhere and smacked the cookie out of his grasp. It flew into a wall where it exploded into projectile cookie remnants, obliterated before his very eyes. His expression was priceless as he watched his treat be annihilated and it goes without saying that the video was hilarious. I know I sound like a really awful person, but we gave him a new cookie afterward if that helps!
